Falsterbo measurements January-February 2016

This is the preview of the results of the measurements of the Falsterbo campaign January-February 2016, and some nice pictures from the measurements.

Not many ship plumes carry high emissions of soot particles according to the black graph, which is good news, only a few (see the selected ship enhanced concentration indicated with a cross) (organic aerosol particles denoted with green line).

Still a lot of ships emitting quite high mass concentrations of sulphate particles (red line) despite new sulphur regulation in the Sulphur emission control areas - SECA) recorded on February 3, 2016. But, not all ships emit a lot of sulphate when considering we have many ship plumes with high particle number concentration (purple line) which are not seen as high sulphate concentrations at the same time...

Oh how many ship plumes! January 27, 2016.
